About Me

Blythe Clifford, J.D., is an attorney, writer, and independent educational consultant who helps students navigate the college admissions process with confidence and clarity.

With a Juris Doctor from UNC–Chapel Hill and a B.A. in English from NC State University, Blythe brings a rare combination of analytical precision and editorial strength to her work. After more than two decades in law and writing, she shifted her focus to college advising, where strategy, storytelling, and mentorship intersect.

Blythe works closely with high school students on essay development, resume building, application strategy, and overall positioning. She is known for her meticulous editing, clear communication, and ability to help students articulate what makes them distinctive. She is currently completing her Certificate in College Counseling through UCLA Extension.

Her connection to young people extends beyond consulting. For over 20 years, she has volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and youth mentor and has supported youth-led nonprofit work through The Food Drive Kids. She believes students thrive when they feel seen, heard, and empowered.

Blythe lives in Raleigh with her husband, Mac. They are the proud parents of two sons: William, a student at NC State University, and Alexander, a competitive show jumper.
